How to regulate infant constipation

Patient's question:

Dr. Liu, thank you for your answer. I used an enema for her, but it seems like she still hasn't had a bowel movement. She looks normal. It's already the 11th day she hasn't had a bowel movement, and I'm very worried because it's been so long. Could there be a problem?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: It is recommended to give the child appropriate doses of Mamiai Ai Kankan, as it should have a certain effect. Because the patient's condition is pediatric constipation!
(1) Training bowel habits to cultivate a habit of defecating at a fixed time each day. When the child is defecating, it is best to avoid external distractions, such as playing with the child or reading stories to them, as this may divert their attention and affect defecation.
(2) Correcting the child's picky eating and other unhealthy dietary habits, encouraging them to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.
(3) Shaving soap into small finger-sized pieces, about 3–4 cm long, wetting it with water, and inserting it into the anus to stimulate defecation.
(4) Using glycerin enemas, with a dosage of 5–10 mL per time.
(5) Mixing glycerin with an equal amount of water for enemas, with a glycerin dosage of 5–20 mL per time.
(6) Using 30 grams of white honey, simmering it over low heat until it becomes viscous, then shaping it into pills. If the child's pills are the size of their little finger, use 1 pill per time, inserting it into the anus.
(7) Using 1% soap water or physiological saline for enemas. For children under 3 years old, saline is more suitable. The dosage is 50 mL for children under 6 months, 100–200 mL for children aged 6 months to 3 years, 200–300 mL for children aged 3–7 years, and 300–500 mL for children over 7 years.
(8) Giving liquid paraffin to children before bed, with a dosage of 0.5 mL per kilogram of body weight.
(9) Taking 9 grams of Mahen Runtian pills before bed each night.
(10) Taking 1–2 pills of Niuhuang Shangqing pills before bed each night.
