Features: As a new type of crime, economic crime is not a major category of crime stipulated in the Criminal Law of China, but the current Criminal Law of China has made extensive provisions on it. This provides strong criminal law protection for combating economic crime and establishing and maintaining a sound market economy order. According to the provisions on functional division in the Criminal Procedure Law, economic crime is mainly investigated and handled by public security organs. Due to historical reasons, public security organs are not very familiar with some of the economic crimes under their jurisdiction. As a public security academy, our school aims to enable students to comprehensively, systematically, and accurately master criminal law, especially the content of economic crimes under the jurisdiction of public security organs. On the basis of establishing "Introduction to Economic Criminal Law" as a specialized course, we have drawn on the research achievements of others, closely linking the legislative, judicial, and teaching practices of the Criminal Law, and have written "Introduction to Economic Criminal Law."
