Features: Muhammad (570-632 AD) was born into a declining aristocratic family of the western tribe of Mecca. In the early 7th century, he began preaching in Mecca, demanding that believers worship the only true God, Allah, and that all Muslims are brothers, regardless of tribe, which contributed to the unification of Arabia. His teachings were later compiled into the Islamic holy book, the Quran. In the early days, Islam faced opposition from the commercial aristocracy of Mecca, who feared it would undermine their political power and economic interests derived from market trade. Therefore, in 622 AD, Muhammad was forced to flee with a small group of followers to Medina (meaning "City of the Prophet"). That year later became the first year of the Islamic calendar. Muhammad utilized the power of the farmers, artisans, and poor people in Medina to establish a theocracy, organized armed struggles against the commercial aristocracy of Mecca. In 630 AD, Muhammad reached an agreement with the Mecca aristocracy, who accepted Islam and recognized Muhammad as the political and religious leader. Muhammad acknowledged the Black Stone of the Kaaba Temple as a sacred relic of Islam, and the Kaaba Temple was converted into a mosque, preserving the religious and economic interests of the Mecca aristocracy. Islam played a significant role in the formation of the unified Arab state and became a tool for the ruling class. By the time Muhammad died in 632 AD, the Arabian Peninsula had largely been unified. Both authors of this book are female scholars proficient in Arabic, having studied in Arab countries twice and engaged in Islamic research for many years, achieving remarkable results. Even more pleasing is that Comrade Sha Qiuzhen is a Hui Muslim, and the publication of this book is a testament to the joint research on Islamic culture by Muslims and non-Muslims. This book highlights Muhammad's profound simplicity, thirst for knowledge, and contemplation of life with detailed information, rigorous narration, and vivid language. It also portrays his legendary qualities as a prophet through the beautiful legends and religious prophecies unique to Arab culture, giving the book an Islamic cultural essence. The book is fluent throughout, catering to readers with middle school education or higher, and we hope to gain the approval of the broad Muslim readership. With vivid plots and rich historical records, this book chronicles the life of the great leader of the Arab nation, Muhammad. He founded Islam, which has had a far-reaching impact worldwide, and made significant contributions to the development and growth of Arabia.
