Patient's question:
What are the symptoms of cerebral palsy in children? I always feel that my child is different from other children. What should I do?Doctor's answer:
The early symptoms of cerebral palsy in children can be identified from the following aspects:(1) The infant cannot close their mouth well, with a weak cry or intermittent screams; difficulty feeding, weak sucking, swallowing difficulties or easy choking, and vomiting; easily startled, easily crying, and restless sleep.
(2) At 2-3 months, the infant still cannot smile, lift their head, or open their fingers;
(3) At 4-5 months, the infant cannot roll over, and by 8 months, they still cannot sit or even grasp;
(4) General weakness, soft or stiff limbs;
(5) Stiff limbs when dressing, difficulty getting the upper limbs into sleeves, difficulty separating the thighs when changing diapers, and stiff limbs; when picked up, the feet point downward, resembling a toe-standing posture, like jumping ballet with both feet, or some cross their legs in a scissor-like manner.
