Additionally, it includes common hardware names, device names, network virus names, names of well-known companies, and software products. From a technical perspective, information security is a comprehensive discipline involving multiple fields such as computer science, network technology, communication technology, cryptography, information security technology, applied mathematics, number theory, and information theory. Most existing computer networks ignored security issues during their initial construction, and even when security was considered, it was only based on physical security mechanisms. As a result, with the increasing interconnectedness of networks, these security mechanisms become ineffective in the network environment. Faced with such severe threats to information systems, considering the importance of information security, strong measures must be taken to ensure its safety. Even with comprehensive security and confidentiality policies and regulations, advanced security and confidentiality technologies, and flawless physical security mechanisms, if information security knowledge is not widely promoted, all efforts will be in vain. For this reason, the author has spent years of hard work, reviewing a large number of authoritative technical documents from domestic and international sources, to compile this "English-Chinese Dictionary of Information Security."
