Features: A war without gunfire, a battle between justice and evil. The renowned mine manager, Liang Tingxian, inexplicably contracts "AIDS." This news not only shocks the grassroots workers and staff but also attracts the attention of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, setting off an engaging storyline. Who is the No. 1 killer? Is it the HIV virus? Is it the ugliness of society? Or is it the all-pervading, rampant tide of materialism and corruption? Liang Tingxian's tenacious struggle, the complex and touching personality of Provincial Party Secretary Yu Bo, Lu Xiaofeng's frenzied acts of revenge using her beauty as a weapon, the lecherous arrogance of Yu Tao, the younger brother of the Provincial Party Secretary, and the wise and brave one-armed hero Wang Jinhua—all vividly reveal the intense conflicts between justice and evil, integrity and corruption, love and lust. It is deeply moving and heart-wrenching, truly a rare and outstanding long.
