Features: This research report actually consists of three parts. The first part is the main report, which proposes experience-based references and policy considerations for China's health reform and development based on the summary of health system experiences from various countries. The second part, in the form of thematic studies (Chapters 1-9), systematically and deeply explores the regular practices and international experiences of health reform trends worldwide, health insurance systems, health financing mechanisms, total health expenditure and payment systems, health service processes and cost control, chronic disease prevention and control, government regulation of the health sector, public hospital system reform, and pharmaceutical policies. The third part, in the form of country studies, selects 10 representative developed countries and multiple developing countries to systematically address the following questions: Who are the beneficiaries, and what are the benefits? Who pays, and how much? Who is responsible for financing, and how is the funding allocated? How much is spent, and how does the funding flow? How do patients access services? How are medical expenses controlled? What are the main challenges faced by the health care system?
