Features: The Journal of Economics (Quarterly) is an economics academic journal sponsored by the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University and published by Peking University Press. It is published every January, April, July, and October. The journal adopts the internationally recognized anonymous peer review system and publishes original theoretical, empirical, review, and commentaries on Chinese economics papers. It advocates for standardized and rigorous research methods, encourages an academic orientation that combines theoretical and empirical research, and promotes academic criticism and debate. Papers published in this journal do not necessarily need to focus on China's issues, but are particularly welcome to empirical research on China's transition and development phenomena. The Journal of Economics (Quarterly) is a new economics academic journal established by the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University in October 2001. This is a new effort by the China Center for Economic Research to promote the development of economics as a discipline in China. The journal advocates for the study of China's local economic phenomena using standardized economic methods. Its purpose is to provide a high-level platform for Chinese economists to publish their work, to serve as a focal point for communication within the Chinese economics community, and to pave the way for the global advancement of Chinese economics.
