Author Introduction: Lasker is one of the six giants who created modern advertising. At the age of 18, he joined Lord & Thomas Advertising Agency (the predecessor of FCB), starting from cleaning ashtrays and quickly becoming an expert in acquiring new clients. By the age of 20, he bought the company and soon turned it into the world's largest advertising agency. Lasker was not just an advertising professional; in 1918, he was invited by President Theodore Roosevelt to lead the Republican Party's publicity department for four years and later served as the chairman of the government's transportation committee.
