Features: After 1967, at the age of 63, Sun Li began another highly productive period in his lifelong literary career. Regarding the "Cultural Revolution," he once said, "Painfully reflecting on past suffering is the duty of those who mourn. I regret that they died in darkness, unable to share the blessings of political clarity, which is why I lament their passing in these dark years," and "Praise the current governance, curse the ten years of chaos." Moreover, he remained full of vigor, expecting to "write ten more small books." He fulfilled this grand ambition and stopped writing in May 1995. This set, Ten Works After the Plight of the Farmhouse, is the first compilation of those ten books. When collecting Sun Li's photographs, manuscripts, calligraphy, and other materials, we were greatly assisted by his relatives, friends, and people from all walks of life. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them.
