Features: There is still a debate in mythology research between narrow mythology and broad mythology. Proponents of narrow mythology argue that mythology must be a product of a specific historical period, i.e., primitive society, and not produced by class society. However, mythology that originated in primitive society did not disappear after entering class society but rather evolved, incorporating new elements. After mythology combines with religion in class society, it continuously evolves. We can only regard this phenomenon as a cultural accumulation layer of class society. As long as the core of mythology remains unchanged, it should still be recognized as mythology.
