Features: Fu Guang told me that his "Black and White Decorative Painting Collection" is about to be published, which will be his fourth decorative painting collection. Moved by his diligence, I readily agreed to write another preface for him. I have a strong preference for black and white art because, during the creation of large-scale sculptures, I often turn away from the lighted side to examine the strength of its form and the it occupies in space. The simplicity and purity of black and white contrast make me immediately calm, and the beauty it creates is beyond words. The existence of art is conditional. When black and white complement and support the entire color world, I even more admire its unique, mysterious, and extraordinary charm. Fu Guang is diligent and eager to learn, constantly self-motivating and striving. His resilience and persistent dedication to black and white painting should first be affirmed. His paintings are highly engaging, with many works filled with his sincerity and hope for life. The subtle artistic style fully expresses the capture of natural beauty—its shimmering and. In the connection between art and life, he has invested considerable effort in pursuing new artistic forms—simple yet romantic abstract concepts, bright and rhythmic expressions—that are the embodiment of his inner thoughts. His paintings are poetic, interesting, and convey a lyrical. Fu Guang's works are often created on cardstock with a white base, then arranged with large blocks of black, using needles and knives as brushes. The lines are upright and lively, with the scraping, picking, and scratching on the surface producing a textured effect reminiscent of paper and etching prints, rich in the charm of printmaking. In the technical section, he introduces multiple easy-to-master methods for expressing the density and spacing relationships in scenes and objects. Although the materials and tools are extremely ordinary, through long-term practice and research, he has developed new techniques based on traditional methods. This highly original approach, exploring new means and methods, makes black and white decorative painting richer in layers, melody, and rhythm. Unbound by conventions, his unique artistic expression and pursuit are the reasons behind the individuality of his black and white decorative paintings. This collection of black and white decorative paintings represents a new breakthrough compared to the previously published ones. The thematic concepts are more expansive, and the specific artistic techniques are richer and more mature. The decorative paintings collected here are worth reading due to their rich artistic expressions. I sincerely wish Fu Guang continued effort and exploration in future creative practice and in the pursuit of national artistic styles, so that he may achieve new developments and successes.
