Features: Landscape painting is one of the important topics in the field of painting, but in the curriculum of art colleges, landscapes have long served as models for color exercises, becoming secondary. Since the reform and opening-up, with the improvement of people's living standards and the growing maturity of the painting market, landscape painting has gradually gained importance. However, the expression of landscape painting and academic theoretical issues such as landscape language and light and shadow language, theme, and scene selection have never been seriously organized. This book attempts to explore these issues preliminarily. Watercolor landscape is one of the important means for color exercises, collecting materials, and landscape creation. Facing landscapes, how should we engage in a dialogue between humans and nature, and how can landscape painting generate the vitality it should have? This book will also address these aspects, especially focusing on the steps and techniques of watercolor painting. Regarding the expression of landscapes, this book advocates restoring the sincerity of the Barbizon School period, advocating direct landscape sketches and a face-to-face dialogue with nature. We believe that painting language is not a, but should be inspired by the understanding of nature. Impressionism found color but lost nature. The development of modern industry and urbanization is destroying nature, and landscape painting will become more precious day by day. It is as beautiful and full of imaginative space as the Peach Blossom Spring in people's hearts.
