Features: In a prosperous era, Bi Su is an unattractive girl, but her life has always been smooth and peaceful. Three years ago, she married a classmate from university, whose husband is a simple man with no high ambitions—a rare sight in this. Due to his precious simplicity, Bi Su diligently fulfilled her role as a wife. Initially, because her mother-in-law was ill and would gasp when she smelled cooking fumes, Bi Su took on all the household chores. But over time, her mother-in-law recovered, yet never stepped into the kitchen again. Bi Su couldn’t stand such aimless days and gradually revealed her frustrations to her husband. To her surprise, her husband insisted and coaxed her back into the kitchen. It seemed he couldn’t help, so Bi Su had to learn to find more joy outside of household chores, like shopping with friends or relaxing. But she couldn’t do it too often, as she still had to take care of the family. This led to her missing a few dinners, which made her husband displeased and sparked occasional arguments. Bi Su occasionally protested and even stayed at her parents’ house, but in the end, she gave in to her husband. From then on, her life followed a monotonous routine like clockwork, devoid of vitality.
