Features: On June 1946, the Chinese revolution entered a critical juncture where two destinies and two prospects were decided. With the support of U.S. imperialism, the Kuomintang and Chiang Kai-shek openly broke their promises, abandoned peace, and launched a full-scale civil war starting with the encirclement of the Central Plains Liberation Area. With a panoramic vision and foresight, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman Mao Zedong, with extraordinary proletarian revolutionary courage, made the great strategic decision of the Central Plains Breakout, sounding the bugle call for the People's Liberation War and marking the beginning of the national liberation war. During the more than one year of arduous and relentless struggles before and after the Central Plains Breakout Campaign, the Central Plains Military Area forces consistently adhered to the strategic deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman Mao Zedong. For the overall interests of the Chinese revolution, in the special strategic position of being isolated and suspended and the difficult environment of being besieged by the enemy from all sides, they fought bravely and tenaciously, sacrificing themselves without hesitation, demonstrating the high sense of overall responsibility and fearless spirit of self-sacrifice of the proletarian revolutionary army, setting an historical model for us to follow in prioritizing the overall interests.
