"Fundamentals of TCM" is a foundational course for students majoring in TCM-related fields learning TCM. This textbook was compiled according to the teaching plan and syllabus requirements for four-year TCM-related programs. It systematically elaborates on the formation and development of the TCM theoretical system, the basic characteristics of TCM, the philosophical foundation of TCM, the structure and function of the human body, the causes and mechanisms of disease, diagnostic methods and differentiation of patterns, as well as the prevention, treatment, and health preservation of diseases, covering fundamental concepts, theories, knowledge, and skills.
