Features: This symposium is one of the important academic activities organized by the Research Center for Criminal Law Science at Renmin University of China since October 2005 under the series titled "Criminal Integration in the Context of a Harmonious Society." Due to its novel and significant theoretical and practical implications, the symposium attracted widespread attention from the academic community. The discussions were relatively focused, with the two major legal disciplines addressing common issues from different perspectives, leading to a more comprehensive and constructive analysis of various problems and exploration of potential solutions. This collection of essays includes most of the papers presented at the symposium, though some articles that did not align with the theme were excluded. It is hoped that this collection will deepen the dialogue and exchange between the two disciplines, open up new horizons and pathways for legal research, create an opportunity, and mark a new starting point.
