"Korean Language Course 5" is an advanced Korean language textbook designed for learners who have completed introductory and intermediate levels. The textbook introduces the thinking patterns of Koreans and Korean traditional culture, aiming to assist those learning Korean. The book is divided into 10 lessons, each consisting of a text, vocabulary and grammar, pattern exercises, cultural explanations, and discussion exercises. For the convenience of learners, appendices are provided at the end, including a vocabulary index and a grammar element index. The text is divided into five sections. The first four sections are dialogues composed of eight sentences each, while the last section is an article. The vocabulary appears in the dialogues according to different themes and in order of usage frequency, while in the grammar and pattern exercises, diversity beyond word frequency is fully considered. When explaining vocabulary, the book not only references authoritative dictionary definitions but also focuses on explaining usage from the perspective of learners. For some vocabulary with multiple usages, the book explains the usage that appears in the dialogues. To help learners understand, example sentences are provided after the vocabulary explanations. The grammar is built on the foundation of junior and senior grammar knowledge and explains advanced grammar progressively.
