Can people with weak constitutions get infected with lupus?

Patient's question:

Doctor, a colleague in our dormitory has lupus with a red rash. I am someone with a weaker constitution, and I would like to ask if people with a weaker constitution can get infected with lupus?

Doctor's answer:

SLE is never a contagious disease; casual contact or living together does not cause other people to develop SLE. The onset of this disease is mainly caused by various factors such as heredity across generations, environment, direct sunlight, and estrogen levels, leading to dysfunction of the immune system and the appearance of additional clinical characteristics. It is more common in young women of childbearing age.
