Author: Roald Dahl

Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: The pharmaceutical salesperson Peter Piper often travels for work, and his little daughter asks him to tell her a story every night. So, no matter where he is, he calls his little daughter every night to tell her a story. This book collects more than sixty stories he told. Due to the cost of phone calls, these stories are relatively short, but when he makes a sale on a particular day, the stories tend to be longer. These stories are rich in themes, diverse in style, vivid, and interesting, sometimes even the switchboard operators would hang up all their calls just to listen to his stories. This book won the International Children's Book Award.
