What are the consequences of sciatica?

Patient's question:

Doctor, I would like to consult about the consequences of sciatica. I previously had a herniated disc, and now I am controlling the sciatica pain, but I cannot walk properly, limping. So I would like to consult about my condition, as I have already had surgery for the herniated disc.

Doctor's answer:

I used to have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine, and now I have a problem with (sciatica) that has been triggered and has led to the inability to walk, as well as a limping condition. This is a more obvious symptom of (sciatica). It is indeed possible that some orthopedic surgery may be needed to help stabilize the additional symptoms. If the control is significant, there needs to be consideration, and surgery may be performed, followed by subsequent nerve rehabilitation treatment.
