Features: The continuously rising number of applicants and the astonishingly high tuition fees have made art college students increasingly become a focal point of social attention. Subsequently, there has been a more detailed focus on this phenomenon—whether the education and life experiences of art college students on campus have cultivated the keen observation and rich expressive abilities necessary for future artistic creation, which people are eager to find answers to. This book collects personal accounts of campus life from 30 modest students from three of the most renowned art colleges in China—The Central Academy of Drama, Beijing Film Academy, and Communication University of China. Photographers spent over three months capturing—recreating famous campus scenes and vividly depicting the diverse stories of art college life. There are also some intangible elements, like an unspoken atmosphere, that always feel familiar, as if they are oneself. We, who were then, are today's you, and tomorrow's them—very real, yet also very illusory. It is remarkable to have the time to record the people of a certain floor or period, because people are so easily forgotten. Not being able to find a notebook (as I did), let alone keeping it in one's heart, is a common occurrence, so I say it is remarkable. And those who compile these scattered records are even greater, regardless of why they do so—because doing so is truly meaningful, as it helps us not to forget, especially some things that should not be forgotten, such as our youth. This book is roughly about these things.—Preface by Huang Lei
