Features: From the perspective of publishing, in addition to publishing our own achievements well and quickly, introducing advanced publications from abroad is undoubtedly also very important and essential. In mathematics, Springer remains the most authoritative publishing house in the world to this day. By printing a batch of good new books published by Springer, it allows a large number of mathematicians in our country to purchase them at a lower price, especially mathematicians working in remote areas can widely access these books, which is undoubtedly very beneficial for promoting scientific research and teaching in mathematics in our country. This time, the Science Press purchased the copyright and printed 23 mathematical books published by Springer at one time, which is a good thing and something worth continuing to do. Roughly speaking, these 28 books include 5 books on fundamental mathematics, 6 books on applied mathematics, and 12 books on computational mathematics, some of which also have interdisciplinary properties. These books are all very new, with the majority published after 2000, totaling 16 books, and the rest were published after 1990. These books can help readers quickly understand the frontiers of a certain aspect of mathematics, such as the three books on fundamental mathematics—number theory, algebra, and topology—all of which are compiled by prominent mathematicians in the field as "Encyclopedia of Mathematics" volumes. They are very helpful for mathematicians engaged in research in these fields to understand the frontiers and overall picture of the field. According to the characteristics of the disciplines, the books on fundamental mathematics are mainly "classic," while those on applied and computational mathematics are mainly "frontier." Most of the authors of these books are internationally renowned great mathematicians, such as the author of the book "Topology," Novikov, who is an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and has won the "Fields Medal" and the "Wolf Prize in Mathematics." These works by great mathematicians will undoubtedly play a very good guiding role for researchers in our country. Of course, 23 books can only cover a part of mathematics, so this work should continue to be done. Furthermore, some books with a broader readership should be translated into Chinese and published to reach a larger audience.
