Features: Perhaps due to the concept of "two-sided design" and the profound influence of ancient Eastern philosophy, when we talk about design, we often think of the term "Dichotomy," which originates from the Greek word "dichotomia." The English-Chinese dictionary defines this term as "dichotomy." Further explanation points out its two possibilities: one refers to two opposing sides, and the other refers to two complementary sides. In the context of ancient Eastern philosophy, the two sides of things are both in opposition and mutually reinforcing. The opposing dualities mentioned in this book are only related to some design examples discussed in this book. Some of them are opposites in relation to social issues, while others are opposites in visual composition or form, chosen somewhat casually without a systematic approach. The way each opposing element is handled varies, leading to different perceptions, attitudes, and choices for each individual.
