Is it pneumonia that hasn't fully healed or myocarditis?

Patient's question:

My doctor friend's daughter is three and a half years old. A few weeks ago, the child was hospitalized for pneumonia for a week. Now she has just been discharged for a few days. In these days, the child often breathes heavily and feels uncomfortable in her chest. She also sweats profusely. My friend suspects that the child might have myocarditis. Hello, are these symptoms due to incomplete recovery from pneumonia or does she have myocarditis?

Doctor's answer:

The patient is currently primarily experiencing recurrent shortness of breath. There is a possibility that it could be a recurrence of pneumonia, but myocarditis cannot be ruled out either. It is recommended to improve electrocardiogram and myocardial enzyme tests to first rule out the possibility of myocarditis. Antibiotics should be used under the guidance of a doctor to improve the current clinical symptoms. Rest and avoid fatigue and colds.
