What is the difference between breast nodules and cysts?

Patient's question:

I am 31 years old this year. Recently, I don't know what's going on, I've been feeling a bit stuffy in my chest. Sometimes when I gently press, it feels a bit painful. My husband suspects it might be a breast nodule, but I think it's a cyst. I want to ask the doctor, what is the difference between breast nodules and cysts?

Doctor's answer:

Breast nodules are usually solid, while cysts are cystic. Relatively speaking, the probability of breast nodules recurring malignancy is slightly higher than that of breast cysts, but both can cause pain. If the nodule or cyst is small, conservative treatment can still be considered in clinical diagnosis, with irregular follow-up examinations, increased stimulation control, and emotional regulation. If it is less than one centimeter and shows a decreasing trend, surgery may be performed to prevent malignancy.
