Features: The book Laozi is profound in meaning and thought, and can be interpreted in various ways. It may be seen as discussions on Yin-Yang strategy, or as a basis for health preservation and cultivation. If viewed from a logical perspective to form a philosophical system, it is particularly coherent and exceptionally profound. However, these are all later interpretations and embellishments, and may not reflect the true essence of Laozi. From a common sense perspective, the book is likely the insights of a highly wise philosopher (let us tentatively assume it is "one" person) who has quietly observed changes in the world, endured hardships, and then expressed their thoughts. The words were passed on unintentionally, not with the deliberate intention of writing a book. Therefore, though its insights are extraordinary and profound, they all stem from intuitive experiences rather than rational analysis. When discussing matters and assessing things, it simply reflects these insights as they arise, without considering the relationships between different things, nor intentionally constructing a system of external objects, like Hegel did. In terms of not being organized through reasoning, there are inevitable inconsistencies, with some points difficult to fully justify. However, in terms of genuine experience, it is deeply perceptive and illuminating, enough to guide people to practice and benefit immensely. This is why it has been passed down for a long time, had a profound influence, and surpasses ordinary philosophical theories. Without this understanding, it would be mere empty talk—like buying the box and returning the pearl, losing the true meaning of reading Laozi. Therefore, this book avoids philosophical sculptures and speaks from common sense and common understanding, aiming to clarify the true impact of Laozi on later generations. If the essence of Laozi can be slightly clarified through this, and if people can benefit from its teachings, that would be the author's greatest happiness.
