Features: As 2006 draws to a close and 2007 begins, the National School of Development continues its efforts by hosting the 4th "China Economic Outlook Forum." From December 12, 2006, to January 5, 2007, the forum invited 33 guests, including experts and scholars from relevant fields and professors from the National School of Development, to discuss 13 topics such as the RMB exchange rate, China's economic transformation experience, finance, capital markets, sustainable development, economic integration in East Asia, economic openness, macroeconomics, healthcare, corporate innovation, fiscal and taxation, real estate, and social security. The forum reviewed the challenges and achievements of China's economic development in 2006 and looked ahead to the opportunities, challenges, and prospects for China's economic development in 2007. In particular, the forum conducted in-depth, candid discussions and debates on major theoretical and practical issues debated across various fields. In line with tradition, the forum will also hold a roundtable seminar on the theme "Development and Harmony" on February 2, 2007, and release a follow-up book titled Outlook China 2007, which compiles the results of the 13 discussions, to be published by China CITIC Press in the shortest possible time.
