Shangrao Huangling Scenic Area, also known as Wuyuan Huangling Scenic Area, or simply Huangling Scenic Area, is a tourist attraction located in Huangling Village, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 7.8 square kilometers.
Huangling Scenic Area is a Huizhou-style ancient village with a unique style and a history of nearly 600 years. Backed by Shi'er Mountain, surrounded by thousands of ancient trees and tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields, Huangling Village's unique terrain of "no three feet of flat land" has created its well-layered and beautifully arranged village layout. In the scenic area, the terraced fields are lush and green, the village is nestled among the clouds, and the residences are arranged in a fan-shaped, terraced pattern around the water outlet, earning it the name "Tiyun Renjia" (Households amid Terraced Clouds). Huangling is also the birthplace of the "Shaiqiu" (autumn sun-drying) culture. The Shaiqiu landscape changes with the seasons, presenting different colors and charms in each season. Based on its unique characteristics and firmly grasping the essence of rural tourism, Huangling Scenic Area has created numerous rural tourism IPs such as "Huangling Shaiqiu" and "Terraced Flower Sea," while exploring the connotations of rural customs, rural scenery, rural flavors, and rural accommodations, and launching the "China's Nostalgia Experience Destination," transforming Huangling Village into a comprehensive tourism and leisure resort destination integrating "sightseeing, leisure vacation, cultural experience, ecological wellness, and rural fun."
On December 27, 2024, Huangling Scenic Area in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, was designated as a National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China. It became the fifteenth National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction in Jiangxi Province and the fourth in Shangrao City.
