Is there a correlation between hypoglycemia and sinusitis?

Patient's question:

I never do time exercises that are too long every day because my nose will be extremely painful. I was wondering if there is a connection between low blood sugar and sinusitis? Because I have indeed experienced low blood sugar before. Thank you for your replies.

Doctor's answer:

Hypoglycemia and sinusitis have no relationship at all. Sinusitis is an acute or chronic purulent inflammation of the sinus mucosa, which is caused by secondary bacterial infection due to delayed treatment after a cold. The symptoms of sinusitis mainly include nasal congestion, purulent nasal discharge, loss of nasal smell, and headache. If you do not have any of these symptoms, your nose pain should not be considered sinusitis.
