Features: "The Biography of Xu Xianqian" was proposed and approved for establishment by the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission. The Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army organized the writing of the book. The writing group devoted ten years of effort, reviewing a large number of historical archives and documents while conducting dozens of interviews with the subject himself. They visited over 200 revolutionary veterans and toured revolutionary sites where the subject had fought. Adhering to the principles of "seeking truth from facts and respecting history," "presenting the subject as he truly was," and guided by these directives, the book vividlys the glorious achievements of Marshal Xu Xianqian's military career. The manuscript was reviewed by the Defense University. Deng Xiaoping wrote the book title for this publication.
