What are the TCM treatments for liver cysts?

Patient's question:

What about liver cysts? Ultrasound shows a smooth liver surface, intact capsule, uniform echoes in the liver region, fine honeycomb-like light spots in the liver, clear venous texture, no expansion of intrahepatic bile ducts, and multiple hypoechoic areas in the liver. In the left lobe, the larger ones are 7 and 36 mm. In the posterior right lobe, there is low echo with a size of 2826 mm, unclear boundaries, and no distinct spherical shape, clearly showing the posterior right lobe. There is an anechoic area measuring 2518 mm.

Doctor's answer:

According to your description, liver cysts are congenital and usually asymptomatic. They are often discovered only during a physical examination, and sometimes the number of cysts may increase when rechecked carefully after a year (as they are very small and easily overlooked). According to your MRI report, the largest liver cyst is 7x3x6mm, and no treatment has been administered so far. It is located in the right posterior lobe of the liver. The hyperechoic, poorly defined, and indistinct spherical appearance is believed to be related to increased fat infiltration. Since you have already undergone careful tests and both alpha-fetoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen are negative, the possibility of a tumor has been ruled out.
