Is ALP low a sign of anemia?

Patient's question:

Prenatal checkup: Alkaline phosphatase is only 33.9 (40-150), total protein 80.4 (80), globulin 33.6 (20-30), and other values are normal. I just want to ask, could there be anemia? I'm very worried.

Doctor's answer:

Low alkaline phosphatase, no clinical significance, no need to worry. The items you tested are within the normal range, and there are no indicators for diagnosing anemia. Anemia is determined by the hemoglobin concentration in the peripheral blood per unit volume, red blood cell count, and red blood cell volume. In a complete blood count test, these indicators below the normal lower limit are considered anemia. It can be corrected based on the cause, such as iron supplementation for iron-deficiency anemia. For megaloblastic anemia, folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation are provided.
