Is arrhythmia a symptom of heart disease?

Patient's question:

I had a health check-up at the company's health examination center a few days ago. After the examination, my heart rate was 120. The doctor said my heart rate was irregular and that I might have heart disease. I would like to consult whether irregular heart rate can lead to heart disease?

Doctor's answer:

Arrhythmia is a typical symptom of heart disease. The heartbeat sound rhythm is regular and orderly. If the heart tremor is irregular, we call it arrhythmia. Arrhythmia refers to the irregular heartbeat that is too fast or too slow, falling below the normal range of 60-100 beats per minute. It is related to certain factors such as mental stress, excessive smoking, drinking, consuming strong tea or coffee, overfatigue, and severe neurosis.
