Features: Public Korean is a textbook designed for students taking Korean as an elective course. It is suitable for public Korean courses in colleges and universities, as well as various short-term Korean beginner training programs. The book consists of 16 scenarios and 16 lessons. Based on the actual situation of absolute beginners, the introductory section provides a comprehensive overview of the characteristics of the Korean language, including its alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, which are reflected in the lessons. The book features a simple and easy-to-understand structure, highlights basic grammar, and offers practical content. Each lesson is divided into 8 parts: "Click," "Dialogue" (1, 2), "Lesson Vocabulary," "Pronunciation," "Grammar Explanation," "Exercises," "Supplementary Vocabulary," and "Korean Culture Cards."
"Click" refers to the most basic and commonly used sentences in each lesson's scenario dialogue, aiming to emphasize key sentences and grammar, helping beginners master scenario-related sentences and improve their practical speaking skills. "Lesson Vocabulary" lists only the new words that appear in the lesson, with definitions limited to the meanings presented in the text, facilitating the mastery of lesson content. The "Pronunciation" section notes all phonetic changes that occur in each lesson's dialogue according to the rules of Korean pronunciation. The "Grammar Explanation" clarifies grammatical concepts, conjunctions, and their corresponding Chinese meanings, aiding comprehension. The "Exercises" section uses sentence pattern drills to enable students to construct complete sentences, preventing them from making mistakes by merely memorizing vocabulary. The exercises are not limited to the text but include a wealth of practical content. "Supplementary Vocabulary" lists the new words that appear in the exercises, helping students expand their vocabulary. "Korean Culture Cards" introduce Korean life and culture, allowing students to understand Korean people and society while also developing their reading skills.
