Offense Letter

Publish Date: 2007-02-01
Features: Among contemporary writers, Chen Xiwo stands out for his writing about existence. In this book, he still uses his sharp pen to offend our normal world, questioning the weight of the body, the pain of the soul, and the truth of existence. Nine stories, rather, open up nine layers of hell. The author, like Dante, leads readers in, delving deeper step by step. Each layer becomes more unbearable and terrifying, yet closer to the truth, and also closer to the ladder leading to heaven. However, the path to heaven requires courage. Chen Xiwo's own courage does not equate to the reader's courage, so at the beginning of each story, Chen Xiwo asks: Can you choose to close this book? Do you really want to open it?
