Human. Human! - Representative Novel Works of Famous Contemporary Chinese Writers

Author: Dai Houying
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: In the 1950s and 1960s, our publishing house organized a nationwide selection of outstanding long (novels) anthologies, showcasing the style and level of long (novels) writing at that time. After the new period, the number of long (novels) creations increased significantly, with diverse themes, styles, and techniques. To more comprehensively reflect the achievements of long (novels) creations during this period, in May 2004, the author edited and published the series "Representative Works of Famous Contemporary Chinese Novelists," featuring the works of twenty-five writers. These works excelled in depth, uniqueness, or had sparked strong responses, or were widely enjoyed by readers. The series received positive social feedback after publication. For this re-publication, the author adjusted the original series list, selected additional works, and included those awarded the Mao Dun Literature Prize in the "Complete Collection of Mao Dun Literature Prize Winners." As a result, the selection of "Representative Works of Famous Contemporary Chinese Novelists" is more complete and comprehensive, and it aligns with the two other series published by our house, "Collected Works of Contemporary Chinese Long Novels" and "Complete Collection of Mao Dun Literature Prize Winners." This allows readers to gain a clearer understanding of the development trajectory and overall style of long (novels) creation in China since the founding of the People's Republic of China from different stages and perspectives.
