Publish Date: 2006-12-01
Features: Compared to the previous edition, this book has been revised in the following aspects: 1. In terms of overall content arrangement, it highlights the characteristics of popular science works and the requirements of being simple, easy to understand, and aimed at the general public. The emphasis is on making significant adjustments to the book's structure, breaking away from the original textbook-style writing approach. The book is divided into four parts: Basic Knowledge of Hypertension, Hypertension Prevention and Treatment, Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Hypertension, and Hypertension Health Care and Conditioning. The chapter arrangement is more rational, concise, and easy to review and find. 2. It emphasizes scientific rigor and modernity. Referencing the latest hypertension guidelines published in Europe and the United States, it focuses on incorporating new theories, achievements, and advancements in related fields over the past six years, striving to reflect the latest developments in domestic and international hypertension research. At the same time, it has removed or corrected scientifically unsound views, seemingly plausible but incorrect content. 3. It highlights practicality and operability. Some treatments that are only suitable for medical professionals to perform or can only be done in hospitals, such as acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy, have been removed as they are not suitable for patients to learn. 4. It prioritizes accessibility and readability. Some overly specialized content has been rewritten or shortened based on actual needs. Additionally, improvements have been made in narrative techniques and language expression, such as adding "Expert Tips" and highlighting key content in bold, to better reflect the accessibility and engagement of popular science works and enhance the book's readability.
