Features: This series is called "Classic Beautiful Prose Reading for Primary School Students," a literary reader designed for teachers, parents, and children to read together. The contributors are all teachers, scholars, writers, and editors with a strong background in children's education, holding master's or doctoral degrees. More importantly, many of them are mothers who love children and love reading. The selected pieces have been carefully curated. They are relatively short and suitable for reading in the classroom or at home. Most of these pieces are works by renowned authors from ancient and modern China and abroad, tested by time. Some are excerpts from books that we believe are classics worth reading. Familiarizing yourself with the names and works of these authors can give you a glimpse of the bigger picture. In terms of selection, there are no restrictions—besides literature, it includes a wide range of genres from astronomy to geography. This reflects our principle: reading is learning to be a person. In terms of format, we strive to make it lively, approachable, and contemporary, aligning with the reading psychology of primary school students. Each piece includes "About the Author" and "Selection Reason," helping readers understand the author and the background of the piece, as well as grasping its main idea and essence. The "Extended Reading" section after each article not only offers reading suggestions but also provides a channel to spark interest, encourage broader understanding, and inspire discussion. This section emphasizes interactivity and openness, allowing readers to enjoy and benefit from the experience in a subtle, playful way. The series is divided into five volumes based on the characteristics of the selected pieces: the fresh and enduring foreign classics volume "Little Stars in the Distance," the inspiring, fun, and lively comprehensive volumes "You Will Find the Spring of Wisdom" and "A Tree Full of Eyes," the steady and warm Chinese classics volume "When Flowers Rest," and the dynamic and poetic recitation volume "Dandelions Soar Gently."
You can start reading from any volume in this series. I believe that when you open the pages, you will not only smell the fragrance of these classic beautiful prose but also sense the warmth and approachability of the compilers. This is not just a light and warm reading journey but also an opportunity to broaden your horizons, strengthen family bonds, learn to think, and gradually accumulate beautiful emotions in your heart.
