The book has the following characteristics: (1) Closely aligned with the development trends of quality management, with a relatively new system. Quality management is one of the most method-oriented disciplines in business management. Of course, it is impossible to encompass all methods in a textbook. Following the route of product quality formation, the authors select and provide in-depth introductions on key contents such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Robust Design, Process Control, Experimental Design, and Reliability Basics, aiming to help readers grasp the theoretical framework of the discipline and the applicability of its methods. (2) Combining quality technology with human awareness and concepts. In quality management, technology is important, but human quality awareness and concepts are even more so, as they are the intrinsic driving force for continuous quality improvement. The purpose of introducing the Six Sigma method in this book is also for this reason. (3) Integrating quality management with quality economic analysis. The goal of quality management is to achieve harmony and unity between product quality and economic efficiency, as such products possess competitiveness. To this end, the book dedicates a chapter to introducing the concepts and methods of quality cost management. The book introduces methods and techniques in quality management and integrates them through case studies.
