Among them, Appendix 1, "Comparative Table of Common Medical English, Latin, and Greek Word Elements," is designed to fully meet the needs of medical students. This book is the result of a research project funded by Fudan University's Humanities Research Fund for the 2003–2005 academic year. As a specialized textbook on the study of medical English vocabulary in China, it fills the research gap in this field domestically. The book aims to enable undergraduate and graduate students in medical schools to comprehensively understand and master medical English vocabulary, thereby improving their ability to use medical English. At the same time, it is also suitable for a broad range of medical and healthcare professionals in China to enhance their medical English proficiency.
