Features: In the vast universe, the myriad world, what kind of matter does it consist of? On rainy days, the thunder and lightning produce such awe-inspiring flashes of lightning and rumbling thunder. At night in winter, the static sparks generated when taking off woolen clothing crackle in the air—this is electricity! Our ancestors, through thousands of years of production and daily life, not only discovered the manifestations of electricity but also, through arduous exploration and practice, invented methods to generate electrical energy. This led to a qualitative leap in human production and lifestyles. In the 18th century, the British engineer James Watt, seeing how steam from boiling water in a small pot could lift the lid, was inspired to invent the steam engine. The successive emergence of internal combustion engines, the discovery and utilization of atomic energy, brought humanity to an unprecedented new stage in understanding nature and practical production and life. We should be grateful to our ancestors for creating these valuable technological treasures with their diligence and wisdom. We must not only "remember the source of our drinking water" but also learn and understand this scientific knowledge. Although we may not achieve profound expertise, we must have a basic understanding. "Knowledge is power," and the purpose of compiling this atlas is precisely this.
