Features: This book is closely integrated with MATLAB programming language and systematically introduces the finite element analysis method for rod structures. The book is divided into 9 chapters. Chapter 1 provides a general introduction to the basic types of rod structures and their fundamental analysis concepts. Chapters 2 to 7 introduce the analysis methods for 6 typical rod structures: continuous beams, planar trusses, planar frames, planar plate frames, spatial trusses, and spatial frames. chapters are relatively independent, making it convenient for readers to quickly learn the content of each chapter. Chapter 8 presents analysis programs and examples for the 6 basic types of rod structures. Chapter 9 provides a detailed introduction to the analysis methods for special problems of rod structures, such as support displacement, elastic supports, inclined supports, planar joints, interruption of force transmission in rods, elastic connections at rod ends, beam-column elements, etc. Additionally, the book includes computational and analytical exercises for 6 typical rod structures. In the appendix, the constraint rod end forces generated by loads and other factors acting on constrained rods are provided. This book is a technical reference book for engineering technicians and researchers in structural engineering and related fields engaged in structural analysis and calculations. It can also serve as a textbook and teaching reference for students and teachers in higher education institutions in relevant disciplines.
