Features: To help more people understand the uniqueness of archives, the editors have collected and organized examples of how various units in the water conservancy system have utilized archives since the reform and opening-up. They strive to reflect the value and role of archives as a special medium from different perspectives, comprehensively, and visually through these detailed cases. This aims to further enhance the awareness of archival work among relevant departments, encouraging leaders and professional technical personnel at all levels to pay greater attention to the formation, accumulation, and filing of archives in their practical work, and to better understand and support archival work. The book features 425 examples of archival utilization, divided into ten chapters: Leadership Decision-Making, Flood Control and Drought Relief, Water Conservancy Projects, River Governance, Urban Construction, Daily Management, Rights Protection, Scientific Research, Documentary Compilation, and Publicity and Education. All manuscripts selected for the examples have been reviewed by the respective units. The calculation of the economic benefits derived from the examples primarily follows the "Regulations on Calculating the Economic Benefits Created by Utilizing Scientific and Technological Archives" ([1994]13) issued by the National Archives Administration.
