Features: Management can be very complex, with over 100 tools and models commonly used by consulting companies, and an abundance of theories. Any so-called case study can keep MBAs debating for three years. Yet, management can also be very simple, simple enough to be conveyed in a story or a single sentence. In reality, management should be simple—it's all about "managing people," specifically the people you manage. Make them trust you, follow you, and help you achieve your desired goals. And "inspiration" is an excellent way to manage people.
The book Management Around Us, despite its title containing the word "study," is not a theoretical book. It does not propose a systematic management theory but focuses on a micro-exploration of the main subject of management—people. It examines how to adapt to, influence, and change employee behavior based on their behavioral characteristics, patterns, and the underlying reasons behind their actions. This is also a very important aspect of management work and one of the key factors affecting management effectiveness.
"The essence of management lies in life, and the essence of life lies in management" is the fundamental idea of this book. It attempts to analyze the ideological underpinnings that support human behavior in daily life and explores how these ideologies manifest in management practices, thereby conducting relevant discussions on management.
Don't compare Yao Ming's height, don't bite off more than you can chew, if you don't want to hear it, don't ask, don't add more dishes when the food is already served, how to drive away annoying flies... Simple, plain, yet profound. Although these are just everyday experiences, theory originates from life. It is precisely these life experiences that form the foundation of theory and the source of management wisdom. Therefore, don't overlook these life details. Learning to accumulate experiences from life is a valuable form of learning, and this is particularly important for management that emphasizes practice.
