Features: As one of the six major forestry projects and an important measure for ecological environment construction in China, the Natural Forest Resources Protection Project has been fully launched. Facing forest ecosystems severely disturbed by human activities, the implementation of the Natural Forest Resources Protection Project has led to significant changes in structure, type, distribution, area, quality, quantity, frequency, forest health, and forest growth. Timely mastery of these dynamic change information, comprehensive temporal and spatial analysis and evaluation, and prediction of their development trends are of great significance for effectively protecting and gradually expanding and restoring existing natural forest resources, promoting the smooth implementation of the Natural Forest Resources Protection Project, and increasing the scientific and technological content of the project. Therefore, the spatiotemporal analysis and evaluation prediction of natural forest resources dynamics are urgent research topics. Applying modern new technologies for dynamic analysis and evaluation of forest resources has become an important trend in the world's development. The rapid advancement of aerospace technology and microelectronics technology has greatly promoted the automation of forest resources dynamic monitoring. Remote sensing is a technical means of acquiring information through aerial or spaceborne sensors.
