Looking for Run Run

Features: This is a thought-provoking, meaningful, and valuable young adult literary work. Like J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, Dongfang Yue's The Search for Pao Pao also narrates stories of youth through the lens of memories. Its greatest value lies in showing us that youth gains solemnity through reflection. A youth without thought is desolate; "the radiant glow of the flesh" will only become a shallow and ugly exhibition. The main story revolves around a missing girl, and in the process of others searching for her, she discovers something she is searching for. That missing list begins to search for a body, while the diary recovered from the flood sets me on a different path of search in silence. In the quiet, she has already led me through footsteps and boundaries, concealment and exposure, reality and illusion, flesh and soul, and I have actually embarked on a journey of searching for myself. Did I find Pao Pao, or did Pao Pao find herself?
