Can babies get epilepsy if they are scared?

Patient's question:

Always uncomfortable, feeling bad, can't sleep. Will the baby get epilepsy if he is scared?

Doctor's answer:

A baby suffering from excessive shock will not develop epilepsy. Epilepsy is mostly caused by hereditary factors across generations or by postnatal diseases that stimulate brain cells, leading to complications. Excessive shock generally does not cause other disturbances. It is advisable to expose the baby to sunlight more often, ensuring at least one hour of direct sunlight daily. The baby should also eat more vegetables and fruits, maintain sufficient and high-quality deep sleep, and avoid contact with chemicals.
