Features: Stunning Scenes: The courtyard of the Melekhov family is located at the end of the village. The two small gates of the livestock shed face north towards the Don River. Between the moss-covered grey-green chalk boulders, there is an eight-rod-long slope leading down to the riverbank: everywhere are pearl shell fragments, and the pebbles worn smooth by the river's waves form a grey curve along the shore; further on, the Don River flows swiftly, its surface shimmering under the breeze. To the east, beyond the fence woven from red willow branches, lies the Hetman Highway, with a small church standing at the fork in the road. Behind the church, the misty steppe stretches out. To the south, there is a chalk ridge. To the west, a street crosses the square and extends to the grassy meadow by the river.
