Features: Agricultural resource regionalization is a systematic project that studies the quantity, quality, composition, and spatial-temporal distribution of natural resources, socio-economic resources, and technical equipment conditions necessary for the survival and development of agriculture. It explores scientific approaches to regional division of labor and optimal resource allocation. It is an emerging discipline serving economic construction, constantly innovating and developing. In that era, to adapt to the rectification of chaos and promote reform and opening-up, realizing the strategic shift centered on economic construction, Tangshan City carried out agricultural natural resource surveys and regionalization work under unified national deployment from 1979 to 1985. A systematic monitoring, investigation, and analysis of the city's agricultural natural resources and rural socio-economic and technical conditions were conducted, with a total of 9,375 types of reports and map materials completed. This played an important role in supporting the scientific decision-making of the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee and Government regarding the rational development and allocation of agricultural resources during the economic system transition period. It helped formulate the development strategy of "treating mountains in the north, beaches in the south, deserts in the east, and lowlands in the west, developing according to local conditions, and comprehensive development," promoting the development of "high yield, high quality, and high efficiency" agriculture, implementing strategic adjustments in the agricultural structure, and accelerating the industrialization of agriculture.
